OUTDOOR KITCHEN WORKTOPS
Outdoor kitchen worktops bring practical preparation space to garden kitchens and barbecue areas. Rock & Co supplies and installs selected porcelain worktops and granite worktops, with advice on the right material for your setting.
Choose a surface explicitly approved by its manufacturer for outdoor use. Standard indoor quartz worktops should not be specified outdoors simply because the area is shaded. Specialist outdoor quartz ranges exist, but suitability and warranty must be checked for the exact product.

- Material choice: Compare outdoor-rated porcelain and suitable granite. Colour, finish, exposure and maintenance all influence the best choice.
- Weather and UV exposure: Confirm the exact surface is approved for sunlight, rain and the temperatures expected at your property. A covered area still needs an appropriate outdoor specification.
- Barbecue and appliance planning: Follow the appliance manufacturer’s clearances and the surface manufacturer’s installation instructions. Use suitable supports, joints and drainage.
- Heat protection: Heat resistance varies by product. Use trivets or heat-safe barriers for hot cookware and avoid direct contact with grills or flames unless the installation guidance explicitly permits it.
- Design and installation: Our team can discuss dimensions, edge profiles, sinks and appliance cut-outs before preparing your quotation.
- Care and maintenance: Follow the care instructions for your chosen surface. Granite may require sealing; cleaning products and frequency should suit the material and its outdoor setting.
- Project quotation: Send a plan, sketch or photographs of your garden kitchen. We will confirm the proposed specification and installation scope before you decide.
