Choosing a pale natural-stone worktop
A light worktop can provide a backdrop for either pale or dark cabinetry. Compare the actual slab with your cabinet, wall and floor samples, and look at it in the lighting planned for the room.
White and pale stones can contain grey, cream or darker markings. A small sample or photograph is a starting point: ask to see the slab selection and discuss how its pattern will run across each worktop section.
Check the material and care requirements
Colour alone does not establish the stone’s classification or performance. Confirm whether the quoted product is granite, quartzite, marble or another material, together with the finish, sealing and care instructions that apply to it.
Use suitable protection for hot cookware and food preparation, following the chosen product’s guidance. Do not assume every pale natural stone responds in the same way to heat, spills or cleaning products.
