Choosing a grey quartz worktop: the details to compare.
1. Colour and style: Grey ranges from light, soft tones to dark charcoal. Compare a physical sample with your cabinet doors, flooring and kitchen lighting before deciding.
2. Pattern: Choose a subtle, concrete-inspired or veined design to suit your kitchen. Screen images are a guide; check the selected slab or sample with our team.
3. Everyday care: Use a chopping board and protect edges from heavy impacts. Always use a trivet or heat-resistant mat beneath hot pans and heat-generating appliances. Quartz is not heatproof.
4. Cleaning: Quartz is generally low-porosity and stain-resistant, but it is not stain-proof or a substitute for normal cleaning. Wipe up spills promptly and follow the selected manufacturer’s care instructions.
5. Comparing quotations: Check the material, thickness, slab quantity, edge profile, cut-outs, templating, fitting and VAT. Confirm optional extras and removal requirements in writing.
6. Veining and edges: Pattern and edge appearance vary by product and manufacturing method. Compare a finished edge sample of your chosen design and agree joins and vein direction before fabrication.
