Grigio Scuro Pura worktops in Hertingfordbury
Dark-grey quartz, stainless-steel cabinetry and a raised serving ledge define this kitchen and bar installation in Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire. Explore the original photographs and the layout details recorded for this project.
A kitchen and bar overlooking the garden
This installation forms part of a leisure and entertaining space overlooking a swimming pool and tennis court. The kitchen and bar area combines preparation space with a raised ledge for serving and seating.
Rock & Co’s original project record gives the installation date as 29 September 2017. The worktops were fitted after the kitchen and bar structure had been completed.
The dark-grey Grigio Scuro Pura finish
The surface was recorded as Grigio Scuro Pura quartz. Its dark-grey appearance creates a coordinated finish alongside the stainless-steel appliances and cabinetry.
This is a historical project description, rather than confirmation of current product stock or specification. To explore a similar colour palette today, browse our current quartz colours and discuss samples with the team.
A U-shaped layout with a raised serving ledge
The U-shaped worktop arrangement provides several working surfaces around the kitchen. A raised ledge separates the preparation area from the bar and serving space.
The original record also notes cut-outs for a chopping board, bin and barbecue. For a new project, dimensions, supports and appliance details should be agreed before manufacture. A layout with multiple levels needs coordinated cabinet and worktop planning.
Choosing a surface for a new outdoor kitchen
The original article described this as an outdoor kitchen. An older installation does not establish that the same surface is approved for every exterior setting.
For a new outdoor specification, confirm the exact product’s suitability for sunlight, weather exposure and the planned appliances with the manufacturer and fabricator. Do not assume an indoor quartz surface is approved for exterior use. Some manufacturers offer purpose-designed outdoor products with their own requirements.
For an example of that distinction, see Caesarstone’s outdoor quartz collection information. It does not establish outdoor approval for the Grigio Scuro Pura used in this historical project.
Share the appliance models, proposed layout and exposure conditions with our team. We can discuss suitable options, including porcelain surfaces, subject to the selected product’s application and installation guidance.
