Terms and Conditions
Rock & Co. offers a complete professional service from initial first contact until the end of installation. We do not forget about you , any questions you have with your granite worktops thereafter we are here to advise and help. Rock & Co. is a third party and subcontracts out our work to qualified and professional fitters.
Fully trained professionals carry out all templating and fitting and the required stone is cut at a local purpose built manufacturing centre.
Variation in Colour
Granite is a natural material and we are therefore unable to guarantee its colour or pattern. Natural variations are part of the stones appeal, beauty and character and should not be seen as a fault. When samples are submitted it should be noted that exact resemblances cannot be guaranteed. No guarantee can be given that the colour shades of the materials supplied against extension orders will match exactly the original supplies.
Quartz is not limited to reserves unlike the natural stones, it can be produced in the desired colour and texture in thousands of square meters; yet it is important to remember the fact that its composition includes 93% quartz. Quarries of this natural mineral stone are located at different places, therefore quartz may experience similar shade variances as is the case in natural stones. Shade variances do not occur on the basis of production date, but the change in the nature of quartz. On the other hand, the random distribution throughout the slab may reflect in a manner of shade variance on the surface. “Random distribution” means that sometimes particles congregate in one area or segregate in another. Especially among those products of granite looking and those with effect materials, provided that the production parameters are held constant, the pattern and the surface shade of the product may show different aesthetical characteristics, even at the same lot, due to this random distribution.
Payment Terms
Deposits are required on all orders to secure and process the order. This can be made by debit/credit card.
Balance is payable on completion of work before the installer leaves the site or prior to collection/delivery.
If balance is to be paid by credit card please note that there will be a 2% handling fee charge.
CHEQUES ARE NOT ACCEPTED, we require cleared funds to enable the installer to leave the premises.
Cancellation
Deposits are NOT refundable unless agreed in writing or by email. If the order has already started being processed then you the customer will be liable for full payment.
Delays to fitting
Orders are accepted and dates given conditionally upon our being able to secure the necessary labour and materials and without responsibility through risks and uncertainties of manufacture, accidents, strikes and other causes beyond our control. In the unlikely event of this happening, we will of course keep the customer notified at all times. We cannot accept any liability from any loss incurred on any delay in delivering our product. If for any reason no one is available to receive us at the property or the kitchen is not ready, we reserve the right to charge additional costs for any extra journeys made.
Quotes
Any price quoted to you is based on the information you supply, all quotes are approximate /estimates, if on template dimensions are not as previously quoted, changes to the price will be expected. Unless stated otherwise we have included for pointing joints between our materials only, (i.e. granite to granite joints)and not for joints between our materials and other finishes. Prior to installation we require completed carcasses, bases fully secured and level. All job information readily available (i.e. Manufacturers templates for sink/hob cut outs, tap holes etc)
Faults or damages
On completion of the work you will be handed a ‘customer satisfaction form’ by the installer, please ensure that this is read and completed by yourself, the form will ask you to check all aspects of the work carried out and to report and faults/damages to the installer before he leaves site and before you sign the form. Please note that there may be a call out charge if at a later date you require the assistance of the installer as the appropriate checks of the work were not made on the date on installation and the satisfaction form has be competed and signed.
Ownership
All materials supplied by Rock & Co. or our subcontractors remain Rock & Co. or our subcontractors property until full and final payment has been received.
